If you want to lose weight and have tried everything else without success, then weight-loss surgery may be the solution for you. Weight-loss surgery is proven to be more effective at achieving long-term weight-loss than non-surgical solutions such as diets or drugs. If you have a significant amound of excess weight to lose, weight-loss surgery can transform your life. It can improve your health and prolong your life by reducing your risk of obesity related health conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure, as well as improving your quality of life by giving you the energy to do the activities you want.
Everyone is susceptible to illness and so can benefit from the positive action and peace of mind resulting from a health screen. Our health screens are tailor-made to your individual needs, age and sex to provide a full assessment of your overall health and identify any potential health risks as early as possible. Many people choose to have a screen every year but you may particularly benefit if you have any health concerns, a family history of illness, before taking up exercise, if you have a hectic lifestyle or after prolonged periods of stress.

A flexible sigmoidoscopy uses a device called a sigmoidoscope, a thin, flexible tube that is attached to a small camera and light. The tube is inserted into your rectum and then up into your bowel. The camera relays images to a monitor, which allows doctors to check for any abnormal areas within the rectum or lower bowel that could be the result of cancer or a polyp (pre-cancerous growth).
At the time of the procedure it is possible to remove small samples of suspected cancerous tissue or pre-cancerous polyps so that they can be tested in a laboratory.
