We offer a comprehensive travel vaccination service for people prior to a holiday or foreign travel. Pre-travel vaccinations are with one of our private GPs who will assess the impact of any pre-existing medical conditions on your vaccine requirements (please note we are unable to provide specific travel advice). We have a range of travel vaccines in stock and so can usually administer any injections that are required at the same appointment. Our onsite pharmacy can also dispense anti-malarials for your added convenience.
Unlike many GP surgeries, Highgate Hospital is a designated Yellow Fever Centre. Yellow Fever is a serious virus transmitted by mosquitoes, which are active in some African and South American countries. Documentation is often required stating that you have been vaccinated against yellow fever before you can obtain permission to enter the country. This documentation can only be provided by a designated Yellow Fever Centre such as Highgate Private Hospital. The Yellow Fever vaccination is administered in a single injection and protects you from ten days after vaccination for up to ten years.
Our guide to the most common illnesses that you may need vaccination depending on your holiday destination:
- Hepatitis A
- Hepatitis B
- Meningococcal Meningitis
- Yellow Fever
