If you are considering cosmetic surgery, it is important that you are confident in the qualifications and skill of the consultant who would be carrying out your operation, as well as the nursing staff who will look after you during your recovery.
At Highgate Hospital we work with cosmetic surgeons who are renowned for their expertise, knowledge and experience. All of our surgeons are registered with the General Medical Council (GMC). They also hold the qualification Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) or equivalent from another European country. Many of our surgeons continue to enhance their skills and undertake more specialist training courses, publish their own papers or attend conferences regarding their areas of specialism.
The reputation and experience of our cosmetic surgeons is important to us, which is why we have a Medical Advisory Committee made up of surgeons and doctors from a wide range of specialties who are responsible for the granting of practicing privileges to all new consultants.
We believe that only a consultant cosmetic surgeon has the necessary qualifications and expertise to be able to advise you and answer your questions fully. That is why, at Highgate Hospital, all consultations are with the cosmetic surgeon who would actually carry out any procedures, not a nurse or advisor.
