Say goodbye to your unwanted fat – fast with Vaser Lipo

Do you wish you could simply wave a magic wand and all the excess baggage in those areas of your body you’re dissatisfied with would disappear?  Perhaps it’s the bingo wings under your arms that stop you from waving, the love handles or extra ring of fat around your middle that makes you think twice before going for a swim or stripping down at the beach.

If you find that no matter how much effort you put in at the gym there are areas of your body where the fat just doesn’t shift, a revolutionary technique in fat removal may be the answer to the slim body you’re looking for.

Vaser surgery performed by the specialists at Highgate Hospital is a fast, safe and effective way to get your desired results.

You’d think you could never give your body a makeover that achieves such a desirable result, but with Vaser you can.  Whether you’re looking for jawline slimming, a tummy reduction or saddle bag removal, you’ll find Vaser is a safe and less invasive alternative to liposuction.  You’ll have tighter skin, natural, smooth contours and a renewed body confidence.

Vaser FAQs

What’s the difference between Vaser and ultrasonic Liposuction?

Vaser is a revolutionary fat removal technique that is safer, faster, less traumatic and with less recovery time than traditional Liposuction.

Liposuction literally sucks out the fat from your body.  It is a more aggressive technique that can alter the surrounding tissues and blood vessels.  However Vaser uses ultrasound technology to liquefy fat and drain it through a cannula. Only the fat is targeted, leaving the surrounding tissues, blood vessels and nerves undamaged.  That means there is less bruising and swelling than liposuction and the recovery time is faster. The results of Vaser are smoother and more predictable than with conventional liposuction and there is minimal scarring.

What can I expect from my Vaser surgery procedure?

You will be treated under IV sedation or general anaesthetic depending on the areas to be treated and the amount of fat to be removed.  Your surgeon will decide which option is best for you. The procedure is often felt to be more refined and controlled which helps in healing and end results.

The area is injected with tumescent saline that helps to numb the area, shrink the blood vessels and make it easier to break up fat.  A small probe is inserted into the area that transmits sound energy.  This resonates at an ultrasonic frequency to loosen and break down the fat and liquefy it.  The fat is removed by gentle suction to minimise trauma to the surrounding tissues.

The surgery may take from one to several hours depending on the amount of areas and fat you are having removed.

How long will it take to recover from Vaser?

It can be amazingly quick to recover from Vaser surgery – you could be getting on with normal life within weeks.  Vaser is considered a minimally invasive treatment, so recovery times are often quicker than you might expect.  However this will vary according to the extent of the procedure, the number of areas treated and how much fat is removed.  The surgery isn’t traumatic, so it’s unlikely you’ll even need strong painkillers.

You should avoid heavy lifting or strenuous activity for two to three weeks and wear a compression garment for six to eight weeks following surgery to help the skin conform to your new body shape.  Your surgeon will give you a recovery plan for best results and the nursing staff at Highgate Hospital will make you comfortable.

Will I need a special garment post-surgery?

Highgate Private Hospital supply a specialist Macom™ compression garment which is supplied and worn according to the surgeon’s instructions post-surgery.

What body areas can be treated with Vaser?

Almost everywhere!  Your face, legs, arms, breasts, buttocks, thighs, hips, abdomen and back can be treated – even delicate areas.  In fact anywhere where there is fat can be treated with Vaser.

Will I see immediate results?

You may have minimal swelling, but yes, you will see immediate results which will improve over time.  The final result of your Vaser surgery can be seen after two to three months.  In six months the collagen will grow and the skin will tighten.  Many patients see immediate results, but your surgeon will help you to understand what to expect.

Is Vaser permanent?

Vaser should not be seen as a solution to obesity.  Vaser is a solution for problem areas of fatty tissue deposits and places where you want to contour your body into a more toned shape.  You can still put the weight back on, so you need a healthy diet and exercise to maintain the results.  If you do this, there’s no reason why the results shouldn’t be permanent.

How much does Vaser cost?

You’ll need to come in for a consultation as your procedure is individual to you and the cost depends on your requirements.
