If you are suffering with unexplained and long-term symptoms such as dramatic weight loss, unexplained abdominal pain and bleeding while passing stools further investigation may be required. A colonoscopy might be recommended if your consultant wants to check for problems in the colon (large bowel). It is conducted using a flexible telescope which is inserted into the back passage so the endoscopist can check for anything which might be causing trouble. You may be offered a sedative, but will remain awake throughout. You can expect the procedure to take roughly 30 to 45 minutes.
The procedure will take place in the state-of-the-art hospital facilities where the very highest standards of quality and safety are met. With all procedures undertaken using the latest techniques in our modern facilities, you’ll be in safe hands at the award-winning Highgate Private Hospital.
We offer an all-inclusive self-pay package for therapeutic colonoscopy tests, with prices starting from £1,700.
