Nurse of the Year Award & International Nurses Day at Highgate Private Hospital
On Friday 12th May, Highgate Private Hospital held their first ceremony presenting an award for ‘Nurse of the Year’. The award was developed to recognise a nurse who continually went above and beyond their duties, to be selected by all staff colleagues in the hospital - not just nursing staff.
The Director of Nursing, Christine Etherington, presented the ‘Nurse of the Year’ award and a bouquet of flowers to the winner, Teresa Neligan, Senior Staff Nurse on the wards. Teresa’s great sense of humour, dedication to delivering outstanding care to patients & her consideration to the ward team are just a few of her resounding qualities mentioned by peers.
To celebrate Teresa’s achievements and the fantastic work of all nurses at the hospital, a delicious lunch was served by the catering team. In addition, all nurses were presented with a personalised gift from the Aspen Group Chief Executive Officer, Des Shields, to thank them for their service and commemorate International Nurses Day.
On behalf of your patients & colleagues - thank you for your continued commitment Teresa!
