Dr. Clive Handler has been a consultant cardiologist and physician for over 25 years specialising in all aspects of adult heart disease including:
Dr. Clive Handler was educated at Dulwich College and graduated from Guy’s Hospital Medical School, University of London
His postgraduate medical training was in the major London teaching hospitals and postgraduate institutions, including the Brompton and London Chest Hospitals, Charing Cross Hospital, Guy’s Hospital and University College and the Middlesex Hospitals, and St Luke’s Hospital, Milwaukee, USA.
He was awarded his MD for his research thesis on exercise testing after heart attacks from the University of London.
Before taking up his consultant post at the Royal Free Hospital and University College London, he was consultant Cardiologist at Northwick Park and St Mary’s Hospitals, and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College, London.
He is the author of numerous scientific papers in general medicine and cardiology, and the author or editor of 13 textbooks on cardiology, heart disease, vascular medicine, and pulmonary hypertension.
He lectures around the world on various aspects of cardiology.
Dr. Clive Handler is a senior and experienced clinical Consultant Cardiologist and Physician, working in the National Pulmonary Hypertension Unit at the Royal Free Hospital, a tertiary referral center for the UK, where he specialises in the diagnosis and management of complex heart, lung and associated conditions.
He is an Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals. He is an Honorary Associate Professor of Medicine at UCL.
He is a member of the selection panel for King’s College School of Medicine, UCL Medical School, and a tutor and examiner for UCL Medical School and an examiner for PhD theses at UCL.
He is an elected Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the British Cardiovascular Society and the Royal College of Physicians.
