Revision knee replacement surgery. Biological treatments for early arthritis including PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections.

Mr Mellor is an orthopaedic fellowship trained hip and knee specialist treating all hip and knee conditions with the very latest techniques. He qualified from the University of Manchester in 1994 and undertook specialist orthopaedic training on the prestigious south-west Thames St Georges rotation. He has been working in trauma and orthopaedic surgery for over 20 years, and undertook two orthopaedic fellowships in Melbourne Australia in 2003, specialising in hip and knee surgery. He has been a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic surgeon at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital, now The Royal Free Hospital NHS Foundation Trust since 2004.
He is experienced in computer navigation and patient-specific jigs for knee replacement surgery, and also has an interest in accelerated rehabilitation after joint replacement surgery and anterior approach muscle-sparing hip replacement.
He is passionate about hip and knee surgery, offering his patients clear explanations of conditions and options for treatment.
He is committed to education in orthopaedic surgery, and lectures and teaches both locally and nationally.
