About

Mr Shadi Ghali has trained extensively in plastic and reconstructive surgery having undertaken his training in Plastic Surgery both in the UK (London) and in the USA (New York, Stanford & Houston). At New York &

Stanford Universities, he pursued research into the genetic manipulation of microvascular free flaps which led to the award of an MD as well as the James Barrett Brown & Clifford C Snyder awards.

Mr Ghali is also a full member of the British Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (BAPRAS). He is currently a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Royal Free and an honorary senior lecturer at University College London. Mr.Ghali has published comprehensively within the plastic surgery literature throughout his career and regularly presents his work internationally at plastic surgery conferences. He is actively involved in training young surgeons.

Mr Ghali’s broad training and international fellowships in Reconstruction and Cosmetic surgery have enabled him to develop special interests within the broad field of plastic surgery – his specialist reconstructive interests include; breast and abdominal wall reconstruction and his cosmetic interests include breast, face and body contouring procedures. He carried out his cosmetic fellowship at the renowned Akademikliniken in Stockholm, Sweden under the pupillage of Dr.Per Heden and Dr.Jan Jernbeck.
