Dr Stuart’s clinic at Highgate Private Hospital offers a high quality service to those who prefer the ease and comfort of private treatment. Her clients include directors, consultants, lawyers and those within the public eye. She is aware of the need for confidentiality and anonymity. Dr Stuart also has extensive experience of working within a medico-legal context.
Dr. Stuart has worked and studied within a psychology field for the past eighteen years. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology in 2000. Since that time she has worked as a psychologist in neuropsychology, forensic, adult and child mental health services and with those with a learning disability. She finished her doctorate in clinical psychology in 2007 and has since worked in the NHS in a service offering treatment to adults, which included work with adults across the spectrum of difficulties, from mild experiences of anxiety and depression, through to chronic and severe psychological problems.
As a Clinical Psychologist, Dr Stuart is able to draw on a number of different treatments. The main approach that she uses is called cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), which is the treatment of choice by NICE. The treatment that she offers is short-term and generally difficulties can be resolved within 6, 12 or at the most 20 sessions.
