Training & background:
Dr Epstein qualified from the University of Sheffield in 2002. He decided to pursue a career in Geriatric Medicine and completed the majority of his postgraduate training in hospitals within the London area. He also undertook a one year fellowship in Stroke Medicine at St Mary’s and Charing Cross Hospitals, to gain an extra qualification in this field. He has experience of working overseas, having worked in a busy, research orientated Geriatric department in Sydney Australia.
Dr Epstein currently works primarily as a consultant physician at Barnet hospital and also at University College Hospital as an attending stroke physician on the Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit. He has an interest in research and has published in international journals, and has set up a research programme at Barnet Hospital.
Dr Epstein is qualified to deal with a wide range of geriatric problems, as well as stroke and TIA.
