About

Dr Anthony Lerman is a Consultant Gastroenterologist. He qualified from Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School and the University of Cambridge in 1998. He completed his training in London and is on the GMC Specialist Register, accredited in both Gastroenterology and General Medicine.

Dr Lerman understands patients often present with symptoms rather than a pre-defined disease. Making the correct diagnosis by taking a careful history and performing a physical examination and appropriate investigations is key to providing effective treatment and relief. He works closely with dieticians, other doctors, and allied health professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for his patients.

Dr Lerman is very approachable. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians’ postgraduate medical examinations as well as for UCL Medical School’s final examinations.
