Dr Aadarsh Shah

Dr Aadarsh Shah MBBS BSc MRCP (Derm) is a UK-trained Consultant Dermatologist who sees and treats adults for all skin conditions. Dr Shah has a specialist interest in the management of patients with severe inflammatory skin conditions including Eczema, Psoriasis, Acne, Rosacea, Hidradenitis Suppurativa and Auto-immune blistering conditions.

His Consultant NHS post is at Bart’s Health London (The Royal London site), the largest trust in the UK, where he treats adults with a range of general dermatological conditions. He also manages patients with complex inflammatory conditions and helps to co-ordinate clinical trials for emerging biological therapies for the skin. At the Royal London Hospital, he runs a tertiary multi-disciplinary service for Hidradenitis Suppurativa managing patients with complex needs relating to their skin.

Dr Shah trained at University College London, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Physiology and also gained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He completed his postgraduate medical training in London and his higher speciality training in Dermatology at Mid and South Essex NHS Trust. After completing his Dermatology training Dr Shah undertook a fellowship in medical dermatology at St John’s Institute of Dermatology where he developed a specialist interest in severe inflammatory skin conditions.

Apart from being involved in clinical trials he is a reviewer for the British Journal of Dermatology, Editor for the Journal of Skin and Sexually Transmitted Diseases. He has also recruited patients for national and international registries including BADBIR, PSOProtect and Global Hidradenitis Suppuritiva COVID-19 registries.

Dr Shah has a keen interest in medical education at all levels. He has taught on the St John’s Derm Academy courses, British Association of Dermatology Derm School, and University College London (UCL) medical course and has been awarded a certificate of merit by the UCL Division of Medical Education for contributions to undergraduate teaching.

He regularly attends presents at conferences to keep up to date both in the UK and Internationally. He has been awarded multiple prizes including:
