Highgate Hospital recognised for pandemic effort at national awards
Highgate Hospital’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic was recognised and celebrated with two awards at the national Covid Response Awards on 24 November.
Highgate and it’s parent company Aspen Healthcare achieved Bronze in two of the most highly-coveted categories: ‘Best Response in Healthcare (Over 15m Turnover)’ and ‘Best Communication During Covid-19’.
The awards recognised the monumental efforts of Aspen and Highgate’s staff during the pandemic with more than 63,000 NHS patient interactions taking place across Aspen’s facilities between March 2020 and March 2021. Aspen’s marketing and communications team achieved Bronze for supporting teams across the business at an unprecedented time.
Some of the comments from the judges praising Aspen and Highgate’s efforts included:
- “Aspen Healthcare’s efficient response to the pandemic and the challenges it brought showcased outstanding leadership in the fight to help relieve pressure on the NHS.”
- “Aspen went above and beyond their pre-COVID duties by supporting the NHS, while ensuring their own patients remained exceptionally looked after and well-resourced.”
- “The pandemic’s impact on Aspen’s marketing team was undoubtedly huge and their response had similarly huge impact on multiple levels with a number of important groups. They were clearly integral to the frontline response of the pandemic and their work had impact on people’s lives.”
- “With a very small team they delivered a broad reaching multifaceted campaign. The role played by the marketing team and the changes it made are admirable.”
