A wide range of ultrasound scans are available at Highgate including scans of the:

• abdomen
• pelvis
• renal tract, kidneys, gall bladder, pancreas and liver
• testicles
• carotid artery
• thyroid
• breast
• scans relating to sports injuries and other orthopaedic scans.

We also offer:

• confirmation of pregnancy
• dating scans
• screening for ectopic pregnancy
• baby gender scans
• nuchal fold screening with combined blood test (to detect chromosomal disorder including Down's syndrome)
• gynaecological scans for heavy, irregular or lack of periods.

In addition, scanning of small body areas such as the testicles to detect testicular cancer is available as are vascular scans of the carotid artery and scans to detect Deep Vein Thrombosis.  The service works closely with our Consultant Radiologists.

We cover both insured patients and those wishing to pay for their own treatment. Appointments are often available at short notice and can be made by calling the Outpatient Appointments department on 020 8341 4182.
