Renal medicine, also known as nephrology, involves the investigation and treatment of kidney disease.

Our service
We offer regular outpatient clinics with a Consultant Nephrologist, for patients referred by their GP to establish why their kidneys may be showing signs of damage, and what can be done to stop further deterioration.  Clinics are supported by our Diagnostic Centre and Pathology services for routine investigatory blood and urine test analysis and ultrasound scans of the kidneys. We see patients with: Outpatient clinic
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Diabetic nephropathy (kidney damage due to diabetes)
  • High blood pressure (hypertension)
  • Kidney stones
  • Proteinuria (excess protein in the urine)
