The hand, though a small part of the body, is of great importance for daily life. A full functioning hand is able to grip and to manipulate. It can gather information about the environment by feeling surfaces. It is also used for gestures in communication and personal life and any disturbances of the function of the hand such as inability to grip caused by pain, weakness or joint stiffness, the inability to feel adequately due to numbness or discomfort and amputations of fingers or parts of the hand interfere with all daily activities such as basic procedures (i.e. eating, etc.), work, and leisure.
Postoperative treatment is supported by our onsite Physiotherapy service. For appointments, please call Outpatients on 020 8341 4182 |
