All forms of endoscopy (a non-surgical investigation of inside parts of the body using a small camera, usually on the end of a fibre optic type device) are undertaken at Highgate Hospital. Procedures include gastroscopy, colonscopy and sigmoidoscopy and can be conducted by a variety of specialists depending on the condition to be investigated.

Gastroenterology involves the investigation of conditions of the oesophagus, stomach, small bowel, duodendum, colon, liver and pancreas.
