Dermatology is the branch of medicine concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the skin, hair, nails and adjacent mucous membranes. As well as medical conditions, such as acne, eczema and psoriasis, dermatologists also treat problems such as warts, scars and age-related skin changes.

Treatments
There are many effective therapies and a variety of drugs available to treat the above conditions, including:

• Cryosurgery - liquid nitrogen treatment of various skin lesions such as verrucae.
• Excisions - removal of lesions by surgical excision under local anaesthetic.
• Injections - intralesional injections for various conditions including scars.
