Our heart beats around 100,000 times every day pumping thousands of litres of blood around our bodies.  Cardiology is the investigation, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the heart and blood vessels. The cardiovascular system includes the heart, arteries, veins, arterioles, venules, and capillaries.

Our service
Looking after your heart is a top priority for many of us and if you think you may have a problem it is important to be assessed straight away and without delay which is we offer same day, Saturday morning and out-of-hours appointments with a Consultant Cardiologist. 

We aim, wherever possible, to offer patients the convenience of a one-stop clinic to both reassure to make a diagnosis where necessary.  We specialise in the assessment and management of chest pain, valvular heart disease, heart failure, palpitations and risk factors for ischaemic heart disease.

• Outpatient consultations with a Consultant Cardiologist
• Blood pressure monitoring
• Echocardiogram (an ultrasound scan of the heart)
• ECG (to measure the electrical activity of the heart)
• Exercise tolerance testing (a recording of the heart beat speed and rhythm during exercise on a treadmill).
• Holter monitoring (provides a constant recording of your heart’s rate and rhythm over a 24hr or 7-day period).
