Gynaecomastia or male breast reduction involves a general anaesthetic and usually an overnight stay in hospital is necessary. Today, with the advancement of surgical techniques and the introduction of specifically designed liposuction equipment, the surgeon is able to break down and draw off excess breast tissue. Nothing heavy should be lifted for approximately two weeks nor should the patient take part in any sport, particularly contact sport for approximately a month. In many cases, working life is not greatly affected but it is your surgeon who will give direct advice on the issue.

Following treatment, the breast tissue does not grow back and fat cannot be deposited as the fat cells will have been removed. It is a permanent solution and can do much to restore confidence and quality of life for those choosing to undergo this effective and relatively simple procedure.

A no-obligation, free consultation with the surgeon who would carry out your operation is available by calling 0800 328 6622.

Finance is available to help spread the cost of treatment. Click here for a pdf version of our brochure.
