Training & Background
Mr Lane trained at the Middlesex Hospital Medical School in London and undertook Basic Surgical Training at St.Thomas’ and Guy’s Hospitals. He joined the Institute of Urology Higher Surgical Training Scheme (North London) and has spent time in a number of regional units in and around London. He has undertaken Fellowship Training in Laparoscopic Oncology.
In addition to his clinical commitments Tim Lane is Clinical Lecturer at London’s Queen Mary Medical School where he has undertaken research into the genetics of urological malignancies and for which he has won a number of prestigious National and International Awards including the Urological Research Society Medal of Great Britain, the Bard Medal and the C.E. Alken Medal. He is the author of over 100 scientific papers, books and abstracts and has presented scientific papers at a large number of National and International meetings.
